Where To Find Prices Of Industrial Chemicals?
Hey all,
I’m studying to be a chemical engineer, and often have to do design reports, which include operating costs, profits etc.
Finding data on the price of various chemicals is very tough. Even common things like sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide can be difficult, with many conflicting prices. At the moment I am looking for industrial quantities of an enzyme known as Laccase.
Is there a website that includes this sort of information for free?
Usually ChemE magazine lists the factors for price inflation.http://www.icis.com/StaticPages/a-e.htm will give you some, with the opportunity to subscribe.
Your professor should tell you exactly how you are to calculate current price.
You use the Marshall & Swift index to adjust for other.
