What Is The Best Mass & Energy Balances Book In Chemical Engineering For A Bachelor Student?

To answer your specific question about the book “Elementary Principles of Chemical Processes” posed on my “best university” question:
When I was at Cal there were two professors teaching ChE 140. One required Elementary Principles of Chemical Processes, and the other (mine) required Chemical Engineering Design and Analysis, which he co-authored. My teacher was the latter, but I decided to buy both books, as I did many times after that (in thermodynamics, cell bio, in transport phenomena, etc). In that case, however, I hardly ever cracked the book Elementary Principles of Chemical Processes because I found the required text to be excellent, and I read it cover-to-cover. In my other classes, I very frequently consulted my non-required books. I think I used Elementary Principles of Chemical Processes maybe twice total–once for a conversion factor, and once to get a general idea behind some specific manufacuring student.
Hence do I regard Chemical Engineering Design and Analysis to be the better book, compared to Elementary Principles of Chemical Processes. Chemical Engineering Design and Analysis was one of very few books I ever got so much out of and read entirely.
