To those who are very passionate in research, here’s some good news.
Please be informed that ExxonMobil is inviting applications for research grants valued at RM30,000 each. ExxonMobil envisaged the grant to be used to advance scientific knowledge in the fields of engineering, geosciences and environmental sciences and preferably , the research related to the oil and gas industry. However, the grant is not to fund individual researach towards Masters or PhD degree.
There is no specific format for the grant proposal. However, to facilitate the evaluation, they require the following information to be included in the proposal:
- research title, objective and concise description
- biodata of researchers & assistants(s)
- research timeline
- breakdown of expenditure
- other pertiennt information as appropriate
Please as note the following:
- research activity must commence in the year 2009
- the grant may be used as partial funding of a research project
- there is no limit in the number of proposals from each university
- a final report is to be submitted to ExxonMobil upon research completion.
